Why is Savannah all smiles, you may ask? Because--believe it or not--she decided that she wanted her hair in a braid, and not just
any braid... a princess braid (aka French Braid). Now you just can't spring this on a mom who has absolutely no braiding experience (not counting My Little Ponies). I mean Savannah hardly lets me brush her hair, let alone
play with it. But as all good mommies do, I grinned and said "Sure honey, hold still..."
The finished product (which I suppose isn't too bad for my first time ever). Luckily, Savannah wanted me to take a picture so she could get a better view from the back. I do like how her highlights look so pretty throughout the braid, but there is obviously some progress to be made.
She loved it so much, she wouldn't even let me take it out when she went to bed, although by this point in time it was almost unrecognizeable :-). Sweet dreams, little princess!

I think it looks great (I have 3 girls and my chances of doing a braid are still not good). good thing we have the internet for tutorials :)
