Jamberry!

Austin had to do a presentation on a Family Tradition that has been passed down the gerneations .... ummm ...we don't have one?? So I told him we would make some berry jam and I would teach him how, just like my Grandma taught me. He was a good sport, considering he hates jam. By the end of it all, after his presentation at school, he told me "I LOVE this jam!"

Even Simone got in on the action ...she was our official berry tester

Austin was amazed by the sheer amount of sugar

He did not like the "continuous" stirring of the pectin. I'm sure it made for good story-telling during his oral report.

That's a smile of delight. It is pronounced "tasty" the next day and ready to be shared with his class. He said almost all the students wanted to try it and they all loved it and wanted thirds. Well, it does have 5 cups of sugar ...go figure ;-)

Love the new pictures! The mini me at the zoo is hilarious! I love Simone's expression looking at the koala bears! I think she and Emily would get along great, but animal lovers! They must get that from their dads?!
