Tis the Season ...

No, I'm not talking about Christmas, I'm referring to football season! I miss going to the College games and the crisp fall air. We don't have the free-time to commit to Pop Warner league, what with practice everynight and games up to 2 hours away, so we're stuck in flag for now. Austin's puny flag football games don't do the season justice, but they are good for some laughs. (Plus he got his first flag on Saturday). Yay, Austin!

We've realized that flag football takes a finite skill (you know, deftly grabbing the flag without taking down the kid or pulling off their shorts). It's so much easier to just lunge yourself at an opposing player ... Plus, some of the parents on the flag league tend to be on the ridiculous side (yes, your son got touched. This is football. It's a contact sport). At least the air was crisp!

Anyways, here's to football season, whiny kids and over-protective parents. :-)
Austinloved being the QB. He came over to the sidelines on a timeout and told me, laughing "Mom, I'm the Full-time Quarterback. I don't know if I can handle the pressure." ;-)
